Located west of the Gateway shopping district and next to the preeminent transit station in Salt Lake City, North Sixth provides 115 mixed-income apartments ranging from studios to two-bedrooms. The land was a superfund site that was able to be restored so residents of the city could continue to benefit from its proximity to everything Salt Lake City has to offer.

The building also provides free office space for a local non-profit that donates computers to refugees. The roof is covered with solar panels, providing the electricity for the building’s common areas.

The neighborhood is watched over by a 4-story mural of Thelma McDonald, a woman who cared for the homes along the street for decades. This mural was painted by a local Salt Lake City artist.
