Giv Group came together in 2011 with a vision that affordable housing could be profitable, socially beneficial, and a catalyst for positive community change. We strategically began with both a non-profit and for-profit so that the limits of community possibility were not unduly influenced by profit.
We designed our first project, Imagine Jefferson, to spark a change in an underutilized, blighted East Central area of Ogden City. This project was not only about housing but creating a place for gathering, food, and community bright spots. From there we’ve been able to share our vision in Provo and Salt Lake City. Our commitment is to make living in a great communities affordable, sustainable, and meaningful. We're excited to see what else we can build!
Giv Communities exists to help blighted and transitional communities regrow via place.
Our emphasis on comprehensive area planning, catalytic space creation, and hands-in-the-dirt advocacy serve as a type of connective tissue between city and citizen that is often lacking in disadvantaged areas.
Through it all, we endeavor to help build sustainable, vibrant, and lasting communities in the places, and for the people, that need it most.

Giv Development exists to build the most innovative, market replicable, and affordable development products. To inspire the industry to reimagine what can be built, for who, and at what cost. We approach this mission mindfully and seek to create buildings that maintain their vitality and impact long after the last brick is placed.
Giv's primary area of focus centers around mixed-use, catalytic developments in urban corridors. The group boasts significant experience across a broad range of real estate classes and has a particular soft spot for historic revitalization and neighborhoods with a little dirt under their nails.

- Community We cover all overhead, soft costs, and facility expenses for its sister nonprofit, Giv Communities. That means we can also do good when it doesn’t make money.
