This project consists of two phases of mixed-income, mixed-use development created 172 apartments ranging from studios to three-bedrooms just two blocks east of downtown Ogden, in the East Central neighborhood.
This area of the city has been designated as “blighted” and hadn’t seen any significant residential development in decades other than work done by Ogden City itself. The project sought to bring the local downtown flavor of Historic 25th Street up the hill a few blocks by providing new retail locations.
Two locally-owned eateries, Cuppa, a vegan teahouse, and Thai Curry Kitchen, a fast-casual Thai restaurant, operate out of Imagine Jefferson and bring people working downtown into East Central. The restoration of two original Weber Academy (now Weber State University) buildings into affordable housing round out an anchor that is helping East Central remember its rich history.
